According to Hossein Bakhshayesh, an official with Yazd Agricultural Jihad Organization, these goats are very good milk producers, with a lactation period of 210 days, producing up to 600 liters of high-fat, high-protein milk annually.

“Their milk has 5.7% fat and 3.4% protein, they enter maturation period and reproduce quickly and usually give birth to two kids per labor,” IRNA quoted Bakhshayesh as saying.

The Murciano-Granadina goat is a very strong and hardy breed. They are well adapted to the hot and dry conditions of the semi-arid areas of southeastern Spain, according to Financial Tribune.
